Daisy & Sofia

Yesterday I went out to the secret fields of Hillcrest with Daisy & her 2 year old daughter Sofia. Daisy's also a photographer (check out her great collection at www.daisyvarley.com) and we 2nd shoot for each other most of the time. Over the years, we've become quite good friends.
All the rain has brought about luscious green grass. Come spring there'll be fields of daisies!
Here's Sofia, leading the way. She loved saying, "C'mon Lynn!" in her cute little 2 yr old voice.
I love this one of Daisy. And of course, I'm playing around with the textures again. Lovin' this!
Sofie's fascinated by the clover I gave her.
So much so, that she decides to see what it tastes like!
Daisy makes a great model, and she doesn't even know it.
Mom & daughter, having a ball!
It starts to rain right when we're about to leave. Good thing Sofie's prepared!
Finally, here's a before & after of moi smiling at Sofie's clover eating while Daisy snaps one of me.
All in all, a great hour of photographic fun for all three of us!

I've been seeing so many of these cool texturized images around lately that I figure it's high time I learned how to do it myself. So here are my guinea pig images that received some special treatment. It's fun fooling around with this stuff so I'm hoping to go back & transform some of my previous images to add some more dimension to them.

I had the chance to second shoot a wedding with my friend Darryn of Darryn St. John Photography on the last Saturday of 2007 and it was another great chance to just let my creative juices flow, but this time, without the pressures of being the main photographer. =)
Below are some of my fav's from Krista & Dave's wedding.
Here's Darryn showing Krista a few of the awesome shots he just took.
The dressing room had this incredible stained glass window. Krista made it look even better.
Here's the bride about to make her grand entrance at The Immaculate Conception in Old Town.
What a good-looking pair of newlyweds! Dave is a supercool F-18 fighter pilot, btw.
We headed to the Presidio just up the way from Old Town for some pics.
I love photographing beauty. I think that's one of the reasons why I love wedding photography so much.
The reception was at the Naval Air Station on Coronado so we had time for a few beach pictures before heading into the party.
This sweetie pie just deserves to be in this blog because of her high cuteness factor.
Krista & her dad shared a beautiful moment together during the Father Daughter dance.
Party time people!
Thanks Darryn for giving me the opportunity to shoot with you. It was a blast!
