Spring in SF

A trip back to the Bay Area is never complete without a day in the city. Drew & I were back a couple of weeks ago and lucked out with the most beautiful day in San Francisco! We went back to some of our favorite places to hang out and stroll around when we lived there, starting with Sutro Baths. Visit their website to find more about the fascinating history of this place and why it's one of a kind here in our country.
Cypress trees surround the area.
Poppies galore by the parking lot!
Definitely a place worth visiting when you're in SF on a sunny day. There's some great trails that'll take you to views of the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge too. "This way kids!"
Flowers along the hike. (Notice the little bee in the picture?)
The San Francisco Botanical Garden was in full bloom. I felt like Alice in my own wonderland.
My little quail friend.
Drew's little beggar friend.
Of course, we always have to drop by the old hood and pick up some fruit at our favorite market. We lived just two doors down from it once upon a time. =)
And just a little collage of some friends from Stow Lake, one of our favorite places to spend an afternoon.

Alright, the finale to this 3-part engagement series -whoohoo!!! Let's get excited!
One of my favorite trees is this huge oak standing all alone in this field of flowers.
I asked them to do a butt bump. Play the video below to see how surprisingly powerful Jenny is.
One of my favorite shots from the session.
Last but not least, the run like hell shots:
That was so much fun you guys! Can't wait for your wedding!!!

Tin & Jenny. Engagement Photos.

This just might be a Tin & Jenny week since I only have time to post a few of their engagement photos at a time. A little background info first though. I've known Tin since our 2nd year at UC Davis. He has always been an honest, straightforward, all-around good friend that you can trust. Drew and I like to joke around and call him General Mao, for reasons we've experienced throughout the years with Tin. =)
So a couple of years into slaving away for his PhD at Davis, Tin met this cuter than cute girl named Jenny. I want to say she was only 12 at the time, but she was in undergrad, so she must've been at least 18...though she looked 12. And now she looks 18. Even though she's a wee bit older than that, having just graduated this past weekend from Pharmacy school at UCSF (Congrats Jenny!!!)
Weeks turned into months, and months turned into years as all our friends watched their relationship grow deeper and we all got to know and love Jenny more. She has this exuberance and pure spirit that I know Tin fell for. Truly someone that makes him laugh.
On February 13, 2009, he surprised her at Lake Louise, in the freezing cold, by dropping one knee down onto the snow covered ground and proposing. Now they're set to be married in September and I can't wait for their wedding. It's going to be gorgeous!
Ok, now on with a few more photos from their engagement session in San Jose last week. I love this area by my parents' house because every spring, flowers bloom like crazy!
Poor Drew. He came along and assisted on this photo session and for this last shot, I had to get on top of his shoulders so that I'd be high enough. He ended up having aching shoulders for two days!!! (Must've been the gorging I did the night before because my friend Linda made such an incredible dinner.)
