I was so glad to get the chance to head out to the mountains for Betsy and Charlie's wedding last Sunday. I'm a Bay Area girl and miss the woods and the serenity it brings. Their wedding was held at the Pine Hills Lodge near Julian.
Betsy had their wedding date embroidered onto her Converse shoes.
The bride had no pre-wedding jitters, only utter contentment. She was so happy & calm getting ready in her cabin with the girls.
Betsy's niece, Carlin, having a moment with her mom...
and Betsy having one with hers.
Betsy and her father sharing a quick moment before he walks her down the aisle.
The groom's first glance at his bride.
During the ceremony, Betsy's dad played a Native American song on the flute for them.
The bride and groom take a stroll in the woods.
I think that smile and happy-go-lucky attitude is one of the reasons why Charlie married her.
The reception room in Pine Hills had a wonderful, rustic feel to it.
You don't know how hard it was for me to keep my hands off these.
I love it when couples smash cake in each other's faces.
Betsy's niece, Carlin and nephew, Blake were having a ball dancing with Amber.
Good-bye happy couple & best of luck!
And I just had to throw in this image of the AWEsome sunset on the drive back to San Diego.
