I went back to the Bay Area last weekend and had the BEST time photographing my friends and their little munchkins. These are three of the cutest, most well-behaved babies I've ever met! There's something about kids and that sparkle of innocence and wonder in their eyes that make me smile big time. I was seriously grinning ear to ear while editing these images. Hope you will too!
Linda and her baby boy. Baby girl will be coming in a couple of months!
Alex apparently likes to walk around with his hands behind his back, just like his grandpa.
There he goes again!
Dad was at work, but Dad's parents and mom were around to play.
"Hey Dad, where you at???"
The other two cutie pies are Reese and Tessa. Much more on their boisterous family session in the next post since I've got tons of images from their session! =)

Cupcake Pops!!!

I had a baby shower for my friend Carmen the other day and made some Oreo Truffle pops and Red Velvet Cupcake pops. They were a huge hit!
My sister had made oreo truffle pops for me once and I had to get the recipe because they're so addictive. The recipe comes from this site called Bakerella. You'll be blown away by the extent of creativity this girl has (Couldn't find her name on her blog). There's a cupcake pop for every occasion you can think of, so try making some one day. It's fun, yummy, and everyone loves 'em!
The oreo truffles...
White chocolate on the outside. Yummy oreo flavor on the inside.
I put the letter C on them for her baby girl's name, Charley.
The Cupcake Pops...I couldn't resist and nibbled a bit.
They are so cute!
I ended up wrapping the cupcake pops in little plastic bags & tying pink ribbons around them for party favors. The guests loved them so much I almost considered starting a cupcake pops business when they suggested it. We'll see....

Hello all you Southern Californians! I just wanted to let you know that I'll be on vacation in San Diego from July 11-17th. While I do plan on playing beach volleyball, boogie boarding, and rolling around on the beach all week long, I do have availability for a few photo sessions.
If you're interested and would like to schedule a boudoir, family, couples or Trash the Dress session during that time, please email me at info@lynndaophotography.com and we can set up a date & time for your session!

Stacey. Boudoir.

Stacey is the hot & adorable (didn't think the 2 attributes could go together, but it fits her well) wife of a military man. She braved the waters of boudoir photography so that her hubby can have a little bit of her while he's away. Thanks Stacey for holding up strong at home and many thanks to your husband for his service to our country!

Yosemite Part Deux

The most memorable part of our trip to Yosemite has got to be the grueling 8 hour hike up & down Yosemite Falls. We had wanted to do Half Dome, but the cables at the top weren't open yet since there's still snow up there. I was disappointed to hear that at first, but after the Yosemite Falls hike, I was secretly very happy.
A view of the falls from the night before. My thoughts at the time were: I shall conquer!
Little did I know the hike would kick my ass the next day!
The hike begins...
This is why the hike took 8 hours.
Ever wonder who stacked the rocks?
J/K. We found it like that.
Pondering if I'll ever make it up there. It was steep the whole time! I just found out from Wikipedia that Yosemite Falls is the tallest waterfall in North America at 2420 ft. Whoa.
Snow near the top.
This is what I mean by steep.
Holy Guacamole, we made it!!!
I felt like Superwoman.
The top of the falls.
We could've hiked another mile to get to the peak over there.
So we were hiking and all of a sudden Drew screams "SNAAAAAAAAKE!!!!!!" I stopped walking and started looking around for a split second thinking, "Why is he screaming about it?" as he pushed me to the other side of the path. When I turned around I saw this big rattlesnake slithering along across the path. Nice!
That was definitely a highlight during this trip. My fat cankles at the end of the day was another. Seriously, my ankles doubled in size & I could barely walk for the next couple of days! Sexy.
The next few days, my parents came & joined us. It was definitely nice spending some quality time together with them.
My dad & some deer.
And I'll end with these majestic beauties, giant sequoias in Mariposa Grove.
